6 Miles late

Today saw me having to run at 6 pm, not my favourite time to go out but work during the day prevented me from getting out at lunch time.

The bluebells are all done til next year but was pleased to see foxgloves in abundance both wild and in gardens.

I promoted myself from yesterdays job as scarecrow to pig herder today and believe me the noise they made whilst charging away from me was enough to wake the dead and to scare me.

Just before I reached home I saw my first Devon fox, or the tail of him disappearing in to the undergrowth. Very exciting.

Now as I sit here with tingling legs due to the stinging nettles I have decided to invent long lightweight running tights that repel nettles, Dragons Den here I come.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

  1. Blimey 6pm! even I was out earlier – what’s going on?! mind you only squeezed in 2.5miles (during CT’s tennis which we were late arriving at – of course!) It’s getting a tad warmer and I’m getting slower! Love reading your blog btw, considered it for a bit myself then thought better of it – my photo’s would be so dull!
