Dangerous run

Chrissie Wellington and I went for a lunch time run, with her trying to make me faster. (Good luck with that Chrissie) It was warm without the sun that came out later. Halfway through the work out things got dangerous when I started to choke. Obviously               multi-tasking is something I can do, but it soon became obvious that to cough my guts up whilst running full pelt was plain dangerous as well as impossible. I had to stop. There I was choking on the side or the road, bent double, gasping for breath all the time praying that I did not loose control of my bodily functions. (for women of a certain age this is a for gone conclusion especially after having two children with the first being the size of a christmas turkey!) Fortunately I managed to get my breath and continue on my way with dry under garments! If this is too much information-apologies, just sharing.

On the home front, hubby who has the complexion of a teenager, had recently bought a bottle of Clearasil which had a pump. He noticed this was going down quickly and on questioning Madam it came to light that she had been using it as handwash because it smelt nice! On the upside her hands are spot free, on the down side we need a new pot of clearasil!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
