Sand Sculptures

Yesterday saw Madam and I heading up the M5 to Weston-Super-Mare to see some sand sculptures. So clever…

we then wandered up the sea front to the pier and the Arcade! We gambled little, won less, but had fun, brought back memories of Southsea Arcade and my Grandad. Madam’s first Arcade experience.

Monday night Madam came to running club with me and we did 5.5 miles, it was hot and of course it was hilly, she did really well and spent most of the time in front with the speedy ones, until that last hill to the car park!

Last nights run saw us arriving at a farm at milking time, so we were waylaid whilst the cows returned, reluctantly it seemed to their field. We tip toed through ankle deep ****** and the smell was less than pleasant! The joys of running in Devon.

My foot is grumbling this morning as some of the terrain was rocky and it really does not cope well with the uneven surfaces. This mornings interval session has therefore been shelved, (phew) but tonight I will be running the Exeter 10k route with my running buddy from the club who is also doing the race in less than two weeks.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

I don’t know. You always manage to end in muck somehow. I think you secretly like it! 😉
