Women on the Run group tonight, it was cold it was wet so only a few of us turned out.

We ran for a couple of miles until we came to a flight of stairs which we then proceeded to run up quickly in pairs and then jog back down. Phew! Little steps so at times easier to take two at a time but by the end of it my legs felt like something served at children’s birthday parties with ice cream!

Tomorrow I fully expect not to be able to walk which should make the tempo run I have to do interesting!

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

    Ahhhh the stairs…hideous….even thoughts of firm bums from the bloody things doesn’t help….Good luck for tomorrow:)

    Ouch! I did a stairs running workout 1 time! Lol It hurt!! Good for you though!
