I confess…….

I have not run since Monday the 12th of December, that is ten whole days. Excuses? I have plenty

  1. Middle Madam came home from Oz for a visit. Little Madam had no idea till her sister jumped out of a box!
  2. After four days with her, Little Madam and I flew to New York. For a truly manic three days. We went with good intentions of a trot in Central Park but temperatures of sub zero shelved that idea, on health and safety grounds- basically because we are soft.

Now Christmas is three days away, food shopping needs to be done, as does housework, laundry, wrapping and sorting, running looks doubtful, although I might count ‘running around like a headless chicken’.

28th December we have a wedding to go to in Essex. Looks like I might be starting 2017, rotund and unfit!

Aaahhhhhhhh

(Detailed NY blog to follow-please contain your excitement and if you pop by here for running news -best skip it till 2017- late January!)

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

How exciting! New York at Christmas! And what a fab prank to play on Little miss!!😂😂 I think that we are all going to be in the same boat come new year for various reasons! Maybe that’s why New Years resolutions were invented for then and not ‘mid summer resolutions’!

  3. Ahhhh…. That’s amazing and lovely.
    Much better than running.

I on the other hand, have run for 9 days in a row and have not been to New York or had children visit from Australia.

You’ve got the better deal 🙂

    Happy Christmas!

  4. I don’t think a few days off will hurt you Lovely Shaz. So many lovely fun things happening in your corner of the world!
