Winner

Last weekend despite an Exeter parkrun PB, I failed to get fastest in my age group. How can this be? Who is this sub human old lady? I was slightly annoyed especially when I checked out her PB, so not going to happen with these legs. I must work out which runner she is and trip her up!

Last Sunday evening the results were released for the Dartmoor 10K,

Just wanted to say what a great run that was last weekend, tough but fun and on the odd occasion I could look up and stop watching my feet I noticed it was beautiful also.

I was surprised and thrilled to find I was the first ‘old gal’ and fourth female overall, wow never won anything before! Totally unexpected. Now I read somewhere there was prizes. In my head I’m thinking

If this is the case please let me know and I will arrange Securicor to come and collect. Alternatively if its a case of ‘you left the area before the prize giving so tough you go without’ than that’s fine, but just thought I would be cheeky and ask!

 

I would also like to say I love the blog written by the winner of the marathon. Amazing result by him and agree with all he says about us oldies, got to keep going while you can.

 

Anyways thanks for a great run, see you in North Devon for the half marathon at Heddon Valley, looking forward to it.
