In Light of No Running I bring you…….

………………… a day out (and you thought it was all going to be about knitting!)

This summer is slightly different from previous ones. This summer Madam is all about spending time with her friends leaving me to be taxi driver and very much stay at home Mum. Usually I would fill the days with long runs but as that is not possible just at the moment, I decided to take myself off to Cornwall to visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan-again.

Now I would imagine people visit this place for many reasons,

  • The flowers (obviously)
  • The Produce garden
  • The Stone People
  • The Jungle

Not me I don’t go for any of the above I drive 2 hours to see these

And there was an added bonus seeing these Tamworth Pig piglets, sleeping in the sun!

A lovely day out well worth the drive!

(PS Swimming occasionally, cycling a lot, running zero, knitting-never! Physio again tomorrow)

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
