Knitting it is then!

Today’s visit to help my physio pay off his mortgage did not quite go as well as I hoped or expected.

Achilles tendonopathy in both ankles with the left being the worse one, which is odd as this one hurts the least.

The suggestion is to ease off the running for a while. I immediately assumed that this meant I could drop my miles to 40 a week, but then he went on to explain that his ‘ease off’ means stop altogether. He assures me I will heel or is it heal quicker.

Next mortgage contribution is due on Tuesday so until then I shall not run.

I’m off to reacquaint myself with Gloria my lovely bike and to purchase some knitting needles. Cycling whilst knitting might just be the way forward.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

😔 sad that you can’t run. Scarves make great Christmas pressies though – get a head start!
