Given the title you might guess that all is not well and you would be right!
During the training for the Ultra, my ankles creeked, but they saved this for just when I got out of bed. On my morning walk to the facilities, I resembled a Penguin with my ankles refusing to bend. Some people found this funny and it wasn’t me!
This escalated on holiday to any time I moved after a time of inactivity (holidays are for inactivity after all) it took a while to get moving, a dose of WD40 was in need.
Running was fine ish but not brilliant.
On my return to the UK I took some time off to rest the offending articles. Sunday I ran 5 miles some on road some off, the road parts hurt.
Last night I ran 6 miles with club, the terrain was rocky and uneven, by the end I was in agony. Home, pills, stretch, cry.
This morning I did intervals on the football field. Now I would not say they were fine, but were a lot better than on yesterday’s run.
I am now trawling the Internet looking for a Race held on flat even, freshly mowed grass!
PS (physio on Thursday)
OH SHAZPOPS!!!! )))hugs((( this running thing really does creep into our souls in the deepest most possible ways and wreaks havoc when things don’t go according to plan…
Hang in there poppie xxx hope they feel better soon!
Oh, take care. Ankles are tricksy things and a right b****r when they’re not right.
Thanks, your right they are a ………..
Hope you’re being sensible with it
I hate running. It’s stupid anyway.
Knitting – it’s the future.
Right?
Of course I am being sensible, much the same as you would be! Fancy joining me in some yarn bombing?
Why knot?
Oh dear, sounds like you’re going to nip this in the bud though Shaz!
