All or Nothing

Yes this week has been all or nothing in regards to exercise

Monday was Metafit and a three mile run with Madam after school.

Tuesday was 7  miles before work and an interval session after work

Wednesday and Thursday saw me away with work (hence the doubling up Tuesday) so no running. Work has taken to booking me in to ‘Country Hotel’ type places, situated on busy roads which cancels out any running plans. Of course this maybe because they want to treat us to a nice venue and a spa, but I think more likely that they got a deal! A cheap deal! I did have a dip in the very small pool though followed by a soak in the Jacuzzi! Country Hotels on busy non footpath hotels are not so bad after all!

Friday I should have run, but didn’t its as simple as that!

Saturday, was parkrun of course, I tried for a pb, failed but not by much, so its there for me next time!

Sunday long run day, 16 miles solo in misty rain, on the lanes and streets of Devon, too many hills. I did manage to make the last mile my fastest out of the 16 and before you ask it was not all down hill.

So there you have it my week, four days of all and three days of nothing.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

It’s hard when you are working away, not just the location etc but usually there are expectations of the working day and social activities. However I think that 4 days of all is pretty good! My training plan has 3 rest days in it anyway!
