Bathroom Renovation

Let me bore you with my week, the week the bathroom renovation started. What a week it has been.

It all started Monday when everything was ripped out, leaving us with this.

(No Henry is not a new fixture)

Then the shower tray was put inIMG_3673

next the tilesIMG_3674

then the stripeIMG_3675

followed by the groutIMG_3678

then today luxury of all luxuries I got a sink oh the joy of not brushing my teeth in the kitchenIMG_3680and lights, no more peeing by torch light!IMG_3682yes we are almost there.

Although we had a toilet left for us every night (our workmen are kind!) during the day I had to go to Sainsbury’s, the local nursery and the hedgerow whilst out for a run!

Marathon training, with no shower available has been interesting, throw in to the mix a teenage Madam who likes to shower sometimes twice a day, it has caused my week to be full and stressful

Of course the actual renovation has not gone smoothly, with a delivery being a day late, not ordering enough tiles and today finding out that none of the lights in the house were earthed. Seems the previous owners decided to cut the earth wire in the living room so cutting off the rest of the house. That’s not dangerous at all!

We are nearly there but no shower till Tuesday, with a cross country run booked on Sunday I am not out of the woods yet! Roll on Tuesday, until then best keep your distance!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

It’s looking nice, though. I’m sure it will be worth the wait 🙂

  2. Look lovely Shaz! But I’m hearing you on the renovation front…stress! But worth it in the long run. Glad to hear there is a hedgerow available on runs hehe
