Portugal Day Three

this morning we left Lisbon and caught a train up the coast to Quincho which is, if you are us a short taxi drive from Cascais.

Before we left I managed a 5k tempo session on the treadmill in the Hotel Gym, my that was tough, it is beyond me why anyone chooses to use the machines of boredom for any longer than half an hour!

We are settled in to our home for the next week, so nice to unpack the suitcase. Our afternoon was spent in and around the pool. The sun was shy about coming out today but managed it around 2pm when it then went from warm to scorching and the cool pool was a godsend.

Madam and I checked out the beach and the walk to the beach, across the sand dunes.

This pathway is going to make a perfect place for a run in the morning.

Madam was very pleased to spot this fella in the undergrowth

Luckily enough for him he ran away before she could capture him.

Looks like the beach is on the agenda for tomorrow, after that run of course.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
