One day summer

Summer has been slow in arriving here in the UK so when Friday came and had clear blue skies with sunshine, no prizes for guessing what I did!

It was the most amazing run, breath taking in more than one way! I ran all bar one hill and impressed passing holiday makers! Can’t get much better than that.

Since Friday the weather has returned to normal and for the first time ever in August the heating has gone on.

(The run was Otterton, to Budliegh Salterton, to Ladram Bay then up Peak Hill and back cross country to the start)

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

wow. Heating on in August? While I’d appreciate a break from our insane heat, I’m not quite ready yet to turn on the thermostat.
