Half way

Are we really only half way through June? Oh dear, 15 days to go.

The email came through from running club last night stating the location of runs this week. On the basis we don’t like hills or road runs (in the summer) three of us formed a splinter group and went woodland running tonight instead. It was lovely, with only the three of us, it was continuous running and absolutely no stopping on the hills. Lots of chatter to pass the 4.5 miles.

Juneathon activities day 15

  • 5 miles run (rounding up)
  • 95 squats
  • 1.5 minute plank
  • Afternoon in the garden, pruning (hacking) weeding and cutting the grass

Why is it gardeners always say when its raining ‘the gardens need it’ my poppies looked like this last week

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
