A tough one

Juneathon Activity Day 8

  • 45 second plank
  • 5 mile horrendously tough run in the Devon countryside, i probably walked over one mile of it, the hills were small mountains. When you start at the bottom and get these views you know it’s been hard. Worth it though-maybe!

Today’s blog is brief, tomorrow’s  activities will be brief, with a drive up the M5 for me. Madam is doing an aquathlon, am thinking that might count, towards my Juneathon, under the remit of helping the aged. What do you think?

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

  7. Oooo… Lovely! Sunshine and Devon views.
My folks are moving away from Devon soon so I’ll see even less of if in person as a result and I’ll be getting even more jealous of your pictures.

  8. Good job! Those hills must’ve been tough.

I played leapfrog with a runner from Devon at South Downs Way – she was assuring me that the route was (Devon) flat.
