there are many reasons why I run
- To keep fit
- To train for a race
- To keep the weight at bay (sort of)
- To keep sane (more sort of)
- Enjoy the countryside
- To have ME time
- To be outside what ever the weather
But today I ran for a new reason.
As hubby left for work this morning, he shouted through to me from the porch “where the **** did you run last night, it smells like a farm out here?”
He was right, during last nights run, there was a particular bad aroma at one point, we thought it was from a tractor that had just passed, but it came from whatever was on the road, which we then all ran on! As we sat in the pub we noticed the smell again, which resulted in much smelling of trainers, (memories of getting in the car as a child for one of the adults to shout ‘ok who stood in dog poo?’came flooding back) followed by removal of the offensive items placing them outside the pub!
I asked hubby to throw them outside in the hope that they would walk off, but come lunch time they were still there. So the reason for my run today was to clean my trainers. Up round the football field I went, scuffing were possible in the long grass.
Juneathon Activities day Four
- 1 mile trainer cleaning, deodorising run
- 30 second plank
- 0 squats (it is a rest day)
Haha! Yes the trainer scuff shuffle. We’ve all done that. Or if we know which show it is on, we do the Quasimodo foot-drag impression.
That is a good reason to run (well they all are but that is my favourite!)
*lol* sportshoes.com i say!
Ha ha ha *gags* ! I once made a small boy wash the dog poo off his own shoe in the sink in his classroom cos every time I went near him I gagged!
haha, love that – trainer clean running
