Racking up the miles

  • Monday – 7 miles club run + 6 mile lunch time bike ride
  • Tuesday – 3 mile lunch time walk
  • Wednesday – 3 mile lunch time walk
  • Thursday – 4.5 mile pre work run + 8 mile lunch time bike ride
  • Friday – 8 mile after school walk with Madam
  • Today – Killerton park run where I knocked 90 seconds off last weeks time! Hooray!

I make that a total of 34.5 miles covered, but I might be wrong as I am not famous for my maths skills and I am trying to watch the football at the same time as counting on my fingers!

Most of today has been spent preparing for the Monster-in-laws visit this week. Anyone got a spare bed going?

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
