Its the way forward, I am telling you, scrap the fartlek, the tempos, hill training, long runs, intervals, yes scrap all that, it’s all about the double runs, you heard it here first.
At lunch time I did a nice 4 mile plod around the lanes, it would be lovely to live in this farmhouse except for the pot holes on the lane, it was bad enough running and dodging them let alone avoiding them with four wheels.
The afternoon was spent at work, when the cat let me
and when hubby came home we went out for a mile run. (For those of you who know hubby, yes you have read that right!) The sky was amazing (clearly in honour of this occasion)
Hubby did well, I left him to get home in the shower whilst I dashed to the shop for some Yorkshire Puddings, clocking up another mile
Enjoyed both runs, so am telling you its the way forward. Try it.
Good for Hubby! And good on you, Shaz, two runs in the one day is pretty amazing!
Love the sunset. My husband did the couch to 5k once, but hated it.
Oh dear. I will be very surprised if we get that far!
Haha! He used to hate how he was huffing and puffing and I hadn’t even broken into a sweat. LOL
GLORIOUS sunset! WOW!!
My hubby unfortunately is an ex ultra tri-athlete, i have lived in his shadow for 30 years… i wish i would come home to a couch potato, meat eating, crisp devouring, ale swilling chocoaholic some days… haaa ha ha haaa… oh to be guilt free!
Seriously though, i LOVE going with him for a run now, he used to be at me like a flipping coach, drove me up the wall and totally turned me off… he has since learnt… now he lets me do my own thing, he does his and we enjoy the company.
I think its lovely, enjoy and GO SHAZZASHUBBY 🙂
Ps, the cat is the best!
Beautiful sunset! Thanks so much for sharing.
Excellent keyboard hoggage there. My cat could take lessons. And I am making not if the double runnage as my training plan is threatening to make them a feature.
