Autumn

Here in the UK the weather is being amazing. Today it was 20 degrees Celsius. We would be very happy with that in the summer, in the autumn we are ecstatic! As hubby was off work today we made the most of the warm weather and went for a walk along the River Teign. It was beautiful, I love autumn, the colours, kicking the leaves and this walk gave me both in the bucket load.

It was so warm, you will find no complaint from me, but for the 31st of October it is mad.

A pub lunch after the walk, ended off the outing nicely.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

The Teign Valley is gorgeous in autumn – if you get the chance on a future walk, head down the Hunter’s path from Castle Drogo to Fingle Bridge and stop for a bite at the pub (choose wisely though – the walk back is a killer!).
