Another fine day forecast and the family were hankering for a day at the beach, I needed to do a long slow run though, so it was up and out early for me. It was probably the best time to run temperature wise. I managed 11 miles, initially wanted to do more but I had had enough by 11 miles. One pic from this mornings run, it struck me as a very English summer country scene.
The beach of choice today was on the south coast and only 20 minutes away. Ladram Bay is beautiful, known for its red rocks and sea stacks.
Hubby and Madam went out on a kayak
A very long while ago before health and safety I was put in a canoe with no training or guidance. The ***** thing capsized three times, I can clearly remember the fear of being stuck under this thing unable to right it, in the freezing cold murky water off the Norfolk coast. I have not be in any water type vessel since then unless you count the Ferry to France which I don’t. I am very pleased to say that after Madam had her turn I got to ride upfront. The kayak felt safer more secure than that canoe of yonder year. Fantastic to see the coast line from a different perspective.
Spent some time bobbing around in the sea in the ring, very relaxing. Now very tired and slightly sun burnt. A week to go.
Glorious photos! Well done you for getting out do early. I can tell you are a deeply dedicated type. I need people like you to inspire me!
Beautiful photo’s, sounds and looks like you had a great run and time at the beach 🙂
Propers to you on your excellent mileage. Even more well done on managing all that plus keeping the family happy! Really lovely photos too — keep up the good work!!!
your photos are always awesome
Love the photo from the kayak, you can just imagine you are right there, bobbing along!
Lovely photos and well done on getting in the kayak, I don’t think that would’ve been easy after such a nasty experience. Well done on the long slow run too 🙂
Great mileage today AND you managed a good day out! Good work!
Well done, Sharon. I was supposed to go for a longer than usual run but caved in the heat at three miles. Much more sensible to go early in the morning. Nice to be having an actual summer though!
GORGOEUS pics! god i need to move South!
I love looking at your photos, they are always stunning! Well done on the 11 miler 🙂
At least your ****** kayak was not an inflattable one with an invisible hole in it (like mine)…
Oh god perish the thought!
