Threes

They say things come in threes.
Run one-Monday night with the club, when we went up, along and then down, which is an improvement on the normal up, up and more up. We were all particularly excited to be passed by an American convertible, in which Kirstie Allsop was a passenger, not every run you get passed by a celebrity.
Run two-Tuesday I had not planned to run BUT after madam left the coke bottle lid loose, resulting in coke all over my newly cleaned fridge, directly followed by me dropping my dinner (they had theirs) on the floor, smashing a Pyrex dish thus rendering my meatballs dangerous to eat, I knew then I had to run for everyone’s sake. Across the fields I went, through the wet grass, until my trainers squelched and I felt calmer, ready to go home to have dinner, one with out shards of glass in.
Run three-Wednesday night club run, followed by a pub meal, two courses for a fiver.
Three different runs, three different experiences but I think maybe Wednesdays was the best, mainly due to the large piece of chocolate cake in the pub!
Two rest days, parkrun then Juneathon begins! Aaaah.

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
