The Queen and Paddington bear have two a year, unfortunately being a mere mortal I only have one, which is tomorrow, to celebrate the occasion hubby and I took the day off. (we are loving these four day weeks!)
What to do with our day? Well that was easy as I sold my city bike on ebay and hubby bought me this……..
a beautiful hybrid called Gloria, (and himself a bike called bike) so it was off to the Exe Estuary Trail for a ride. I have run this trail lots and have always wanted to ride it. We parked at a local farm shop and then hit the saddle. Next stop Exmouth and a hot chocolate in the sun.
Must admit it was nice to get off the saddle at this point even with my ample padding my bottom was tender.
All too soon it was time to jump back on and pedal back to Lympstone and a pub lunch.
Had to have a break to admire the view over to Powderham Castle on the way
We took in the sights of Lympstone before heading to The Swan
and as I was not very hungry I thought I would go for a light snack ……..
