The tourist bit
Teddington is close to Bushy Park and also Hampton Court Palace, this is a royal palace, but the royal family have not lived there since the 18th century. Henry the VIII (him with all those wives) had the palace built for Thomas Mosely.
We wandered through the house, this soon got busy with tourists so our tour was probably quicker than most.
I preferred the garden, not a weed in site. The bulbs beautiful
The topiary flawless
I spent my time wondering how they keep the gardens so perfect, the best guess I could come up with was that they have more than one gardener! Lovely day was had and how lucky were we with the weather?!
We had a nice mini break, even managed to make a dress for my friend before leaving, one way to earn my keep!
looks absolutely amazing!
I’m with you…the gardens/bulbs are gorgeous!!! I LUV SPRING!!!! Happy Easter!!!!
no pic of the dress?
Oh, go on you must tell us about the dress too!
Yes, fabulous gardens and history there. I love your photos. A lovely post, thank you!
beautiful photos, sounds like a lovely break 🙂
I know for a fact these gardens are tended by slave labour and half zombies, mainly at night. Royalty is famous for that kind of thing. Excellent pics, though.
I knew there must be more too it. Wonder if they would come and help me?!
Gorgeous! Matt and I have family not too far from there, and we’re hoping to be able to visit them in our summer holiday. Hampton Court is definitely on the list, along with Hever Castle.
Enjoy!
