Spring is Springing

I am loving the weather we are having this week, most days this week I have managed a lunchtime walk across the fields.

Lunch time

What’s not to love about that?

Last night with Madam’s athletic session at a new venue due to track closure I took the opportunity to run 6 miles along the River Exe. It was a mild evening and it was fabulous to run a new route.

There is still plenty of evidence of storm damage

but lots of lovely signs of spring.

It was a great run, not in performance you understand, in scenery, I guess you can’t have everything.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

i am so jealous. i got my mini stuck on a snow mound this morning and for the upteenth time this winter, had to shovel. (although in the interest of full disclosure, I could have gone around the snow mound and avoided the whole disaster, but i was being lazy). One day our daffodils will bloom.

  2. Spring daffodils are so pretty – they remind me of my grandparents garden.
