Zoo

Yesterday it rained ALL day, now I am very aware that pretty soon I will have to re name this blog to ‘shaz’s Devon weather report’ as every post seems to have a weather related theme so will try not to dwell on it too much. Anyway it rained all day and Madam had training late in the day this meant that I could not make it to running club, I was quite pleased actually! Another run in the wet did not appeal.

Instead I ran this morning, 3 miles in the village. I managed a good time (for me) in fact if it had been a Saturday morning it would have been a PB. Nothing like a good run to set the day up is there?

With the sun out and the sky blue Madam and I headed to the zoo. Not many zoo’s can boast this kind of view I bet!

We had a nice leisurely walk, animal spotting, ohhing and aahing over the exhibits, here are some of my favourite photos taken on our day out.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
