I am so proud of myself! What’s more I really enjoyed it, everyone was so friendly and chatty. Without saying too much the Wednesday night group I went to was just not working for me. I have high hopes that this will! Can’t wait till next Monday!

Glad to be home in the dry and warm and to be eating this, Curried Cauliflower Soup,

tomorrow I will post the recipe it is delicious, better than it looks and better than it sounds! Who knew a vegetable could taste that good?

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

  2. Ooh, I’ve been toying with joining a running club, but have been too scared! Maybe I should bite the bullet too πŸ™‚

It’s always scary starting something new, I hate it! Hope this group is better than the other one. Well done you!

I was thinking about joining a club too (in between dying after sprints). I’m terrible though with new people! I did get chatting to the guy in the local running shop who recommended a couple and I said I’d join but that was 2 years ago…

Hurrah! Definitely an award for bravery, though after two weeks you’ll be wondering why it seemed like such a scary thing.

Sounds like a good move as perhaps they will know where to run traffic free in your neck of the woods.

  13. Excellent. Well done. I started back at the gym after several weeks off and that was daunting……and I didn’t have to talk to anyone!! πŸ†πŸ†
