Calm before the storm

I love the day the clocks go back. I slept till 8 (7 new time) ran 10.5 miles and was home by 10 am. A lay in, a long run and the day ahead, perfect maybe I will lobby government to bring in a 25 hour day.
The long run was a new route, it was a plod due to a sore back brought about by spending 2 hours in the loft yesterday afternoon sorting out. The weather was perfect, mild, dry, slight breeze and if we are to believe the forecast very much the calm before the storm with the water level already high I think houses in Devon near water are in danger of flooding again.

I took a detour to take in this building of a cob house that was featured on Grand Designs this week

Such a ‘grand design’ I will be interested to see what it looks like on completion, it’s in a lovely location but my what a lot of a work.
Here is one he prepared earlier which I love, such a pretty, unusual shaped house.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
