Today is hubby’s 50th birthday. (He is MUCH older than me) Madam informed him that as he was now half a century he is officially, OLD. That was not the best news he had today, that’s for sure!
This morning we went to
Where we spent an interesting couple of hours.
The best story I read was from a young man who traveled to Australia and on arrival sent a letter home warning his relatives not to use the same ship, as ‘the biscuits were as hard as mahogany’ and whilst asleep one night the pothole opened and he got drenched, poor man can’t imagine a worse rude awakening, but did make me laugh.
Then it was back on the hop on hop off bus back to
The bridge being 245feet above water (thanks hubby for pointing this out half way across) is a popular place for suicides one of the first attempts taking place not long after it opened by a young lady who had been jilted. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your or her point of view, her crinoline skirt acted as a parachute and she floated down in to the mud. She lived to the age of 84years!
Running has not happened but boy we have walked and tomorrow I can’t wait to bounce out of bed very early for that scheduled interval session. (This might be exaggerated,)
