Greetings from Bristol

Hubby and I have fled Devon for our first night away together ALONE for a very long time. Little Madam was very excited to be left with Big Madam who was roped in to Madam sit, we commended her for her bravery, suggested she buy ear plugs and sped up the M5.
After lunch on the quay watching the world go by we hopped on this

Truly the best way to see the city, learn about its history and save your feet.
Who knew that Nelson Mandela Towers is in Bristol not Peckham? Not quite the same now is it, think on that next time you watch the Christmas special of Only Fools and Horses!
We passed under this

And then hopped off the bus to get a closer look at this

I actually walked all the way over, something I failed to even have a go at last time we were here with all the Madams

Such a shame Brunell died before its completion.

We hopped back on the bus in to the city centre where we came upon John Cabot

Not a happy chappy is he, but then he was responsible for discovering North America, so totally understand why he is so sad!!!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
