Staycation day 11

With today being a rest day according to the plan, I was able to get out and mow the lawn a) before 9 o’clock b) before the rain came. This was followed by general tidying. cleaning and sorting, that’s the trouble with holidaying from home, the domestic stuff you usually escape from is there, looking at you and today i could no longer ignore it.

The rain looked set to stay, not heavy stuff, just light misty stuff that would prevent any outside activity, so we headed to the cinema to see The Lone Ranger, the new non-cartoon offering from Disney starring Johnny Depp. If you are a Depp fan this is a must see, he is truly brilliant, a fun film that passed a damp afternoon in Devon.

After a dinner consisting of mystery leftovers taken from the freezer (truly living dangerously) I put the finishing touches to the giraffe I had previously decoupaged.

Now I just need to give him name.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

EWH says George the Giraffe – very royal and topical. You should live in the east – the sun shone all day!
