Staycation day 9

The BBC app said it was going to be sunny in Cornwall, so we headed out early to Mawgan Porth. The BBC app got it WRONG. It should have said windy-so windy that when you bang the wind breaker poles in to the sand, they have to go in so deep, you are in danger of fracking-yes THAT windy. Instead of sunny the words should have been ‘cloudy with sporadic spitting of rain’. After lunch we headed home.
It took three hours to do the 100 miles home, due to Cornwall Council thinking its a really good idea to close one lane on the A30 in peak holiday season for NO apparent reason.
Do hope tomorrow is better.
I am off to write to Cornwall Council, they need to be afraid, very afraid. I might follow that with one to BBC weather. Bah!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Sounds like your fracking attempts weren`t too fracking fruitful! 😉

  2. I am just feeling happy that I don’t work for Cornwall council or BBC weather.

Ah the Met Office – getting the weather (in the South West… where they could just look out the window) wrong since 1861.

Hope you’re having a better day of it today!
