On the second day of Juneathon I crept out of the my Essex hotel (mum and dad’s) at 7 am and set off for a long run.
It was warm, with a slight breeze and NO one else in Essex was awake-perfect.
Have decided to find employment as a nature scarer on the basis of this mornings run, I clearly have a flare for this as managed to scare
A mother duckling and her brood
A partridge off her nest
A female human walker who was clearly stocked that this pudgy, sweaty runner actually spoke in fact she was so surprised it rendered her speechless!
The rapeseed was lovely
The reservoir lovelier
8 miles done.
Shower, brekkie, then out for a two hour walk with the oldies and madam, across the Essex countryside. Wish I had worn my Garmin then could have logged the miles for Juneathon!
