Killerton results have just been published.
Madam came 7 th out of 40 runners and an amazing 3rd in her age category and seeing as that’s Under20 and she is only 11 I think that is pretty good.
Not only did she do well but managed to have a nice picture official photograph taken something that eludes lots of us. (Right red hen?)
Look at her fly. Oh for legs like that! Yes Grandma she got a medal.
Not bad for someone who really did not want to run that day is it? She learnt the lesson we all learn ‘you never regret going out for a run, you frequently regret not going for one’.
My results are not as impressive but not bad for an old girl. I came 110 out of 189 runners and 15th in my age (I am at the top end of the range!). Quite pleased really as this was the toughest course I have ever done and really thought I was at the back!
Special mention must however go to my Essex running buddy who after doing VLM in an impressive time just three weeks later she did the Essex marathon equally as impressively. She came first in her age category-old biddies (her words not mine), third female V45 AND her team got silver. Truly amazing. here are her winnings.
You rock Mrs T!!!!
What a team. Well done all of you!
Well done to our favourite young ladies – we are full of admiration and keep up the good work.
Love the medals! Bigger and better shoe boxes – family in joke!!
You will have to get one of those ‘race bling’ medal holders! Well done everyone.
I would love one but for now I think the hook in the cupboard under the stairs will have to do!
Congrats to your little girl! I am always more impressed with how my daughter Wow’s me than things I actually accomplish. Maybe it is because I feel so much apart of her accomplishments too. Great work on your accomplishment too. So true about regretting the ones we don’t run!
Well done, both of you!
A decent race photo is a very rare thing…extra congratulations to madam for that.
Haha! That elusive great running pic! Yes indeed, I know the feeling! Luckily though, your girl certainly does not! Watch her go! Terrific shot and wow, yes, a terrific placement for one so young! Bet you`re the proud Mum. You deserve to be!
Awesome pic of Mini Madame, well jealous! Thank you for my mention on your blog am honoured! and to all your blog readers …… it’s Mrs. Shazruns herself with her amazing endurance and dedication who inspired me to go the whole distance and do a marathon … so thank you coach 😉 PS pretty impressive placement for a killer killerton 10k btw!
