Lists

In busy times of my life I write lists, before Christmas I do a list, before a holiday there is a list, before moving there was a HUGE list, once it is on paper I can relax and my brain can switch off, I feel things are under control.

Here is my list for this weekend

  • Wets wipes-portoloos not good
  • Hankies-men size times two one for the run, the other safety pinned to trousers (think morris dancer) just in case needed
  • Food –banana for pre run, marathon bar for after
  • Drink-water pre run diet coke for after
  • Jelly babies stashed in a plastic bag
  • Gels-just in case
  • Safety pins-lots of them, just in case a fellow runner turns up without
  • Phone
  • Bin bags times two one to sit on at Blackheath and the other to wear if necessary
  • Warm jumper with paint stains
  • Capris
  • Big running knickers
  • Bra
  • Shirt
  • Socks times two pairs
  • Trainers times two pairs
  • Emergency Β£10
  • Towel to change behind in Horse Guards parade
  • Imodium

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
