Its official…..

spring has arrived.

How do I know? No not because we are in April that would be presumptuous, I know because we saw our first one of these today

we were so excited as we were beginning to worry that they did not live in Devon!

Inspired by this thought and a slight view of the sun today Madam made this for our birds

a posh bird box. We are hoping this little fellow takes a shine to the new home in the neighbourhood.

That was after she invented and made these they are called ‘Kate’s Special Chocolate, Cherry and Marshmallow treats’, a real case of says what is in the tin but does not exactly roll off the tongue does it? Delicious though, I have only had one honest not wanting to roll around VLM next week!

Any running today? No of course not I’m tapering!

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Enjoy a whole week of tapering in the sunshine.You deserve that after all that chill-filled training.

No run today a knee niggle 😦 Will just have to rest & taper for London marathon & fingers crossed knee recovers.
