Icicles and Ikea

Good Friday saw me slide out the front door at 7:15 a.m, the sun was shining, it was a beautiful morning but yes it was cold. A tempo run, not my favourite session, it’s just too much like hard work. At four miles I popped home to use the facilities and grabbed my camera and headed out again. Why? Well I needed to do 5 miles and wanted to share these with you.

The rest of the day was spent travelling to Ikea in Bristol and being stuck in traffic on the M5 on the way back! On the upside the bookcase was erected quickly and without family discord!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

I love photoruns, as you know. I`ve read that morning light-just after dawn, or within half an hour of sunset is best for landscape pics. I love the clarity of early morning light, particularly with frost about. And I tend to run better in the morning anyway. Just to darned lazy to get up.

Always a plus to build furniture without discord! Nearly impossible sometimes when the instructions are only illustrations!

  3. Cool icicles!
