Carpe Diem

When the sun decided to shine today I knew I had to make the most of it. A quick skype message to the office, permission granted to slip out from work for an hour. Hooray. It was cold but beautiful.

How beautiful? This beautiful….

Then I saw these beauties that have obviously come up due to the recent weather.

This bench always makes me smile, it is in the middle of nowhere

DSCN2052and when you sit on it you see this

DSCN2053Why I ask? Why? I came to the conclusion it was for mad runners who need to rest awhile, but I only sat long enough to take the photo honest.

At one point I decided to follow the footpath sign to see it they are runnable yet. After some mud skating and coming to this

DSCN2051that would be NO not for a while and with more rain forecast at the weekend might not be running down there till the summer, shame as the view is fab.

5 miles done

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
