Oh but…

Those of you that have children will know all too well the term ‘oh, but…’ tonight madam used it on me when I suggested that the weather wasn’t conducive with an outside activity such as running, it had been raining/sleeting/hailing all day and after school the snow started to come down. The ‘oh, but’ was followed by ‘but I have looking forward to going to Exeter Harriers all day’.

Obviously after this statement I caved in and we headed out in foul conditions after dinner.
I left madam doing jumping of the long kind and set off round the streets of Exeter for a run. Boy it was cold, windy, rainy, snowy, sleety and I was glad to get back to the arena after three miles. Even gladder to have a shower, eat dinner and recline in my onesie!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Wish my slobbo boys were like madam but the chance of them saying they were looking forward to running or activity(with mum) would be the same as me saying ” i am looking forward to the 100 burpee’s!! ” Love the slippers…part of onsie you mentioned?

Sounds, um, delightful? Seriously impressed with your (plural) dedication though.
