Plan A to Plan B to Plan C

Plan A was

  • Up 7.30 9 mile run
  • Home eat
  • Go to Brixham

Plan B was

  • Hubby to work for little bit
  • On his return run 9 miles
  • Sainsbury’s shop
  • Cook roast dinner

Plan C was carried out

  • Run 9 miles when hubby got home from work
  • Shower
  • Drive to Brixham to make most of clear blue skies
  • Dinner out

I ran the same route as last Sunday to see if I could do it faster, to see if the fitness is improving. Half a mile in it almost came to a halt as I stepped in a stone that was disguised as a leaf, seriously it was very leafy coloured. I went over on my ankle and boy did it hurt. I stopped. Walked a bit. Swore. Examined it. Carried on. Couple of twinges but ok. It was a great run really. I stopped to take this picture of a newly ploughed field not just because it was a great scene but also because it gave me time to recover from a hill.run

I seem to be somewhat of a Bermuda Triangle when it comes to technology at the moment. Spent 2 hours last night doing some work so could free up some time this week for errands, spent another couple of hours on it again this morning redoing it and am still no further ahead. This continued on my run with the Garmin not measuring 1.5 miles of it (maybe I levitated for a while) and the walkjogrun app well I stopped that at one point and thought it would continue where it had left off when restarted it but it didn’t, this might be new user error rather than my magnetic personality! Anyway upshot of this is I have absolutely no idea if I was faster this week than last!

Shower change in the car within half an hour, headed back to Berry Head Brixham where I went earlier in the week.

Scenery amazing of course

We found a madam sized lighthousellhat Berry head and a Mummy sized onelighouseat Brixham.

Madam found thesemadamto which her Dad commented that we may as well have a dog but I pointed out she would smell worse when damp!

The day was rounded off nicely with dinner out dinner (This is not mine!)

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

It may not have been your dinner but after a nine mile run I think you could have justified eating it! 😉
