Adventure One-Run One

Back to Brixham today but the weather was nice so before driving home I drove to berry head where I ran 2 miles in beautiful surroundings.

The quarrycliff

The seasea

The harbourharbour

Walkjogrun helped me find this lovely area and one I will be returning to with Madam and hubby very soon.

Adventure Two

Tonight I headed to a local running group called women on the run they meet weekly in the nearby town. I hate going along to this kind of thing as a Newbie, but realise to make life in Devon work I have to make the effort. I made contact with the group earlier in the week making the commitment so then could not back out. There were 14 of us in total with different abilities, I was very pleased not to be at the back, am hoping this will boost the confidence. We ran to another part of town and did a loop 4 times, one gentle as a group, two fast at the end of each we were given our time and challenged to beat it the second time, then together as a group at the end before heading back to the car.

Will I be going back? Yes.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
