Some adventure

‘Adventure’ has many definitions…….

1. an exciting or very unusual experience.

2. participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises: the spirit of  adventure.

3. a bold, usually risky undertaking; hazardous action of uncertain outcome.

4. a commercial or financial speculation of any kind; venture.

on day 8 the most apt definition of todays adventure is number 3. For today was weigh in day, bold, risky and uncertain outcome for sure. I put on teeny tiny underwear, took off my watch, earings and braced myself, exhaled, as obviously your poundage is less if you do this, and stepped on and after 10 seconds forced my eyes open. Lo was the reading oooh this must mean I am underweight I thought, bonus, drinking Baileys, eating cheese and chocolate in abundance causes me to become Lo, hooray. However I discovered the battery was Lo not me! Bah! This means that this adventure will be repeated same time, same place, same attire tomorrow, oh joy.

The run was 1 mile as fast as I could which actually was faster than I thought I would!

The treasure comes courtesy of Devon county council who use this road sign just for the festive season.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Maybe try no underwear? Or wear all of your clothes and take off 10lbs for clothing?
