New Adventure

Here in Devon I find every run is an adventure, each run I try a new route, each run I find a new treasure.

This morning the sun was out so I seized the chance and headed out to the hills. I decided to add the loop on the loop that I had done on my last run, hoping the road was not flooded on this loop. Wrong……pic2 least this was not a yucky, muddy puddle I reasoned. Then I pondered to either plough through the middle or up on sides to avoid the icy water. In the end did both, started on the sides then squelched and sunk so lept shrieking in to the cold puddle.

Todays treasure was thispic1

This was on the side of the road on the bank, I think it must be a very grand bus shelter as inside is a sundial, obviously to see how long it will be for the next bus!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
