Day 18-square wheels

Yesterday I biked to work. This is not unusual news but it was a rough ride as half way in my tyre slowly went down. As my luck would have it I had decided I only needed one panier to carry my lunch, so left the one with the bike pump in the shed-oh ********. The ride to work was bumpy but not too bad, however when I left work it was completely down. I know I thought in one of my brighter moments I will swing by the petrol station on way home and pump it up there. There was a fatal flaw with this plan-for some bizarre ‘rip of Britain’ reason you have to pay for air these days (don’t tell the government or they will start taxing the air we breathe) and you guessed it I did not have any money on me! God I love Mondays. There was nothing else for it as I needed to get home to take big madam shopping, so I rode on with my flat tyre, noisily, bumpily, waiting for some bright spark to shout ‘you got a flat’. I got home in one bruised piece and boy it was hard work. My thanks go to Cavemen for inventing round wheels.

Exercise part two was hitting the Visa Card in Primark!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Grrr. Cycling on a flat is no fun at all. Double Juneathon points, definitely.
