Day 9-running a la Forest Gump

There are times in my life I have to run. I call these my Forest Gump runs but fortunately without the excess facial hair because that would just be too scary. Today was one of those days and one of those runs. I left the house frustrated and tense with no idea where I was going or for how long. For a change the weather was nice, I had almost forgotten what blue sky looked like!

I believe my legs and mind could have gone for longer but dinner needed to go in, so I returned after approximately 8 miles feeling a little better in mind and soul but I guess that is what it’s all about isn’t it?

If life is ‘like a box of chocolates’ can someone please pass me a milk chocolate one as I am fed up with the bitter dark chocolate!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
