Day 6-errand running

With madam back from camp, running might be tricky to fit in, but this morning I had a few local things needing doing so we set off madam on scooter me on running legs. unfortunately .7 of a mile in madam fell off her scooter which jeopardized my running plan due to the fact that she then wanted me to a)carry her or b)just to go home. I persuaded her to carry on all bit it slowly and grumpily!

We managed 2.2 miles not bad.

However was reminded why never to buy white trousers for a 10-year-old!

Now where did I put that spray and wash.

Todays quote from my book ‘Keep on running’ is ‘you simply can’t run a marathon without a huge degree of stubbornness running right through you. Cut a marathoner in half, and I am sure you will see the word ‘bloody minded’, stick-of-rock-like, running right through his or her core.’

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
