Day Four-Pain in the Neck

As yesterday progressed so did my stiff neck (you know the type where when you want to look left or right you have to move your whole body), I had a really bad nights sleep as has to wake each time I wanted to roll over! Hubby went out (after he finished laughing at my robotic moves) to get some Tiger Balm to rub on it which makes me smell a bit like one of those Yankee candles!

Running today was out.

Instead we got out the ‘Drive and stroll in Essex’ book (a book of circular walks) and headed to Epping Forest. I knew we were close when I spotted a lady in a purple velour juicy couture tracksuit-nice.

The walk was great and we saw this cutiefollowed by this Jaythis 400 year old oak

lots of these in the hedgerows.

Epping Forest is rumoured to be the place when London Mafia would dump their cast offs and we were a bit concerned to see this mound.

Four miles walked followed by a Bakewell Tart. Delicious

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!

Hope the combination of fresh air, tiger balm and bakewell tart sorts out your neck – it sounds painful.

Is a circular walk one where only one leg moves and the other is fixed? Hope you feel better soon 😀
