Usually the day before and after my long run are rest days but not this week. The last run of week two was completed tonight after hubby got home from a day out.
The plan called for:-(I had been avoiding this all week)
5M of 1M jog, then 2 x 1.5M (or 14 mins) fast, with 400m (3-min) jog recoveries, then 1M jog
Still cannot understand why they go from miles to metres which I or my Garmin cannot.
I adapted the run slightly and it went like this:-
- 1 mile 10:46 pace
- 1.5 mile 8:51 pace – 13:18 mins
- .5 mile 11:10 pace (uphill and panting)
- 1.5 mile 9:43 pace (still uphill) – 14:34 mins
- .5 mile 12:00 (tired now)
So if I add the two 1.5 miles it comes to 27 :52 this is under the required 28 minutes! Go me.
Week three starts tomorrow bring it on!!
