Setting the world alight…..

…. Not with my running I hasten to add!

In a Christmas cracker madam got some bouncing silly putty (for those not in the
Know this is like blu tack) and having never experienced this substance I thought I would investigate if it truly did bounce by lobbing it on to the hardwood floor. The putty then indeed did bounce, up on to the wall deflecting on to the sideboard in to a lit candle knocking it over and wax everywhere. This was sheer skill on my part OBVIOUSLY. Attempt part two occurred tonight when I put my lap top on the sideboard and promptly moved my running hat on to two lit candles. I only noticed when flames started taking hold leaving a rather large hole in the cap and an acrid smell in the air.
Burnt sweaty baseball cap is not an aroma I would recommend.
Anyway enough of my pyromania and on to running.
Missed my run on Thursday as hubby had to leave for work early so this morning when I set out I had a choice of runs to do either 5 mile easy or 5 miles with 3 miles of hard in the middle.
What would you have chosen?
One run of 5 miles in 53 minutes completed.

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
