Hills and hedgehogs

After my long run on Monday decided my gym session that night would involve a run free treadmill session. This I completed on a hill gradient just to make it a bit harder and boy did my calves know about it the next day. Then my ankle (well side ish of my right foot) really started to hurt so I rested till Wednesday morning when I did hill reps.

This week I measured the hill and was amazed to find it was a quarter of a mile long managed it 6 times in total then headed for home.

Was very excited to find this little visitor keeping my rabbits company on my return. He might have been trying to break them free but after I shone the bright light in his face he scurried away.

Prickly cutie

No run today as had to be in Wembley for 8 a.m but did go to the gym and managed a fairly quick 15 minutes on the dreadmill. Then came home and made this for a friend’s daughter.

After much deliberation have decided to watch madam play football on Sunday instead of treking in to London to cheer on the masses of athoners who are doing the RPHM. I am really gutted as wanted to come along to shout at encourage you all and then to eat pizza however would never forgive myself if I missed her first goal.

All that remains to be said is GOOD LUCK to you all (too numerous to mention) I will be thinking of you all, have fun and get PB’s. Oh and enjoy the pizza!!!!!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
