Pretty in Pink (maybe)

The gorgeous, sexy, very pink skechers arrived on Friday but it took me till this evening to take them out for a test drive.

As I put on my pink Moon Walk baseball cap that I always run with, hubby commented how coordinated I was which I find is always important when going for a run (not). In fact having spent the afternoon watching Chelsea put 5 goals past the Bolton goalkeeper who wore a pink strip decided that all I needed was his top and socks to complete my out fit (believe me after today performance he probably wont need them anymore).

It was only a little 2 mile run just to see how they handled. Could really feel the difference, not being able to put my heel down, they are also very bouncy and cushioned. My calves felt a bit tight after about a mile but other than that a smooth ride. Don’t think I could go out and run a long run in them right away, I will need to break them and my feet in slowly.

So for tomorrow mornings 9 miler (maybe) it will be back to the faithful Asics with the two holes, one the big toe has made and the other the bunion has worn through!

About shazruns

I have been running since 2004 when I decided to do the Race for Life, as a close friend was terminally ill with cancer. Following that I did a couple of 10km at Leeds castle and Sandringham. Then in 2005 ran my first London marathon, then another in 2007 in blistering temperatures. I have entered the London marathon every year since but have been rejected, am now find maintaining my fitness & motivation hard, so when the email came through about Janathon I thought why not! Am hoping this helps with fitness, motivation and weight loss!! Wish me luck!
